Guidelines for users are available from the National Focal Point:

  • Bio-community Protocols
  • Sectoral ABS Agreement Guidelines for pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and agriculture

Users must:
  • Foreign users must have a Myanmar associate researcher
  • No type of genetics research is exempted for foreign users
  • You must determine if TK exists
  • You must apply for an access permit through a Competent National Authority
  • Benefits must be shared with the owner of the resource and the persons granting access
